Yusuf Usta’s simit recipe — sesame bread rings, handed down from his grandfather — vanishes overnight.
For forty years, Yusuf Usta the baker, a master of his craft, has kept his grandfather’s simit recipe in a cupboard on the bakery wall. This week things have started vanishing from Çınar Street at night, and come morning nobody has seen a thing. Uncle Rıza, the watchman, will keep watch for three nights.
