lanternandwhistle.com uses one cookie, and only after you sign in. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. That is why the site has no cookie banner: strictly necessary cookies do not require consent (ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3); Dutch Telecommunicatiewet Art. 11.7a(3); Turkish KVKK Board cookie guidance).

Browser storage (not cookies)
The web app keeps the following in your browser's local storage so the game works offline. It never leaves your device unless you sign in and turn on sync:
- the current game and your notebook,
- settings (language, sound, haptics, reduced motion),
- a random install id,
- a cache of the content you own,
- an unsent telemetry queue (anonymous, see the Privacy Policy).
Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it. If you are signed in, your notebook comes back from sync.
Other sites you may visit during a purchase or sign-in
- Stripe Checkout (checkout.stripe.com) runs on Stripe's domain and sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and the payment itself. See Stripe's cookie policy.
- Apple and Google sign-in pages run on their domains and are covered by their own policies.
We embed no Stripe, Apple or Google scripts on lanternandwhistle.com pages other than the sign-in buttons themselves.
