A Summer on the Islands · Case 3
The Beach Cabin
Every night, something goes missing from the only cabin left on the closed-down beach.
The island’s old beach has been closed for years. A single cabin still stands, and last night its lock was opened for the first time in years. Something was taken from inside, and a word was spelled out in seashells in its place: “August.” When Deniz’s aunt saw the cabin, she said, “This was their cabin.”
